On Sunday 24th September 2017 we had the pleasure of filming a Princes Gate Trust event that was held at The Longhouse in Freshwater East, South Pembrokeshire.
Princes Gate Trust held its first ‘Couch To Coast’ event which was part of its on-going fund raisers that transform the lives of disadvantaged children and young people.
It was an honour to be part of their Couch To Coast 2017 event to change the lives of others that makes a difference to those less fortunate than ourselves. The trust’s efforts over the years has changed the lives of so many deserving recipients.
So, on a very wet typical Pembrokeshire day the wind and rain was in full form however over 100 committed runners turned up to the start line to run either the 6 mile, 12 mile or marathon distance routes. All ages and abilities took part and whether they ran, walked or hopped around, it didn’t matter … the fact was that everyone was smiling and had a great time.
Joined by ex Welsh International rugby legends Ian Gough and Ryan Jones, spirits were not dampened and everyone involved had a great time … it was humbling to be filming so many wonderful people raising money for Princes Gate Trust.
The routes took them onto the Pembrokeshire Coast Path heading towards Stackpole, Barafundle, Bosherston and as far west as Stack Rocks and The Green Bridge Of Wales … all in aid for a fantastic cause.
Our video captures the mornings events and also we hear from some key people that organised and took part in the event … enjoy and share.
Once again, Many Thanks to Paula, Sam and the team at Princes Gate Trust for allowing us to film this amazing event.
